The Parsonage

The Parsonage

This two-story Arts and Crafts house has five bedrooms and becomes three stories at the rear. Built in 1907, it was the original parsonage for the formerly adjacent West End Baptist Church which burned down in 1930 ( see the Historic Gallery.) The house was renovated in 2000-2001 by Whit Rylee, who specializes in historical preservation, and won a Griffin Award. The major renovation of the parsonage demanded work from the ground up which included rebuilding the stone foundation and remaking all the original trim. The house is now a private guesthouse.
